Bounced Checks
Here is a questions for Landlords in CA area. I signed a lease for a tenant In August 2015, where the deposit amount for moving in was $1,300. They have paid their rent every month on time and we have otherwise had no other issues. However we just received a notice from our bank that the check they issued for the deposit bounced (yes almost a year later, thanks BofA). How do I go about reclaiming this money? And is there a form I use? Something for the purpose of documentation. (mind you were have had this rental for 5+ years and have never had an issue so this is all new to me). Any advice or references are appreciated!
