Moving to electronic rent collection

Hi all,

First I have to say, finding this Forum has been a life changing experience for me and I'm just so excited so my apologies if I'm asking lots of questions.  I inherited a tenant who has been getting their rent picked by me.  I would like to send them a 60 day change of process notice that I will not be picking up their rent and it must be paid online.  2 questions.

1) can I get into any hot water by changing how rent is collected?

2) Anyone have suggestions on collecting rent electronically?

I will do my research as well but I like coming here in addition to my research.

Thanks Bigger Pockets Community.
