Good Afternoon BP,

Has anyone experienced a rat problem in the Baltimore county, Maryland area? Can anyone recommend and exterminators or advice on how I can deal with this issue?

Thank You for your time.

From my experience, if they are not yet in the house try cleaning up the yard and getting rid off all of the places the might hang out, such as brush piles, piles of lumber ect. Also make sure any food sources are sealed such as trash and clutter. You can place poison out but make sure it is the the tubes designed for rats and squirrels so children and the neighbors cat wont get into it. We had this issue at a house I lived in in college and just cleaning the junk and brush up was enough to make them move on.
