Landlord not renewing lease

I'm leaving in rented apartment in Fairfax County, Virginia. My apartment manager gave me notice to evacuate apartment. I visited rental office to discuss the extension of lease term but she upfront rejected extension, terming that I have to evacuate apartment by end of term. I need to continue in same apartment (not different apartment in same community) so that my son can complete his school year in same school. 

The reason she is giving me is that they want to renovate my apartment but that is not written in notice. There are other apartment in same building where people are living for more than year, it seems their lease is renewed. I think that I'm being discriminated as I have raise multiple complaints about noise issue. The noise issue is due to structural issue in apartment building and upstairs tenant making noise late into night (till 2:00 am)  and early morning (5:30 am). Apartment manager is giving different reason for last six months instead of fixing it. I feel that apartment manager wants us to go out of apartment at any cost. Please advice what are all legal options I have for this situation.
