Tenant refuses change of lock

Hello all, I have a tenant who called and said she thought she saw someone with a copy of her key...Maybe we dropped one on accident. I told her I would check with my Fiance, we have our keys, but for piece of mind I told her we would change the locks, and what was her availability this weekend.

She then changed her tone and said that she didn't want us to pay the money to change the locks... I am thinking of doing it anyway next weekend... any thoughts or tips? Am I liable if anything happens since I offered to change the locks??
