Cold Snap In Ohio....

I am a first time landlord and with the weather her in Ohio projected to get down to -7 I am a little concerned about pipes freezing. I was wondering if it would be appropriate for me to send my tenant a reminder on how to prevent pipes from freezing (slow drip, etc) and to notify is immediately if they suspect something?
