Temporary housing
Does anyone have any experience dealing with an insurance company that is providing temporary housing for a displaced occupant? I am considering entering into an 8 month lease agreement that is structured to equal a full 12 months of rent. The potential tenants lost their home to a fire and so their insurance is footing the entire bill in addition to rebuilding their home.
Thanks for any input you can share.

I have done this a couple of times. Our first was a 4 month contract that extended to 9. It worked out well for us both times and I let the agents know we were open to further opportunities. The folks took excellent care of our homes, but I would definitely treat it as any other rental (walk through, contract, etc...) the only difference is the rent is paid by the insurance company. On a $1250/mo rental we got $1600 for the flexible short term nature.
