California Agent License
Hello,
I've been reading here on BP about the advantages of having a Brokers license. Do your own deals, cruise the MLS, save on commission etc.
It used to be that one could get a brokers license studying, taking tests, and working as an agent for a year - or having a bachelor's degree ( in whatever ).
That changed in 2013. Now, you have to either work as an agent for TWO years, or have a bachelor degree with A MAJOR OR MINOR IN REAL ESTATE. That's a bit too rich for my blood.
The agent license is not so hard to get - 135 hours of study, take a test. But it doesn't give you much. You have to work for a broker.
Is there any use at all to getting an agent license?
