Monitored home alarm system

Hello everyone I am a buy & hold investor located in New York and wanted to get some other landlords / buy & hold investors opinion on when purchasing a vacant sfr property do you install a home alarm system? Monitored or unmonitored?

Since it will take 2 weeks or more to find a tenant I am just concerned about leaving the home vacant unmonitored for extended periods of time.

For those of you that do please include what price you are paying monthly if any for the service.
