Questions About Evictions in Anne Arundel County
Greetings,
I've been investing in long term rentals in the Fort Bragg, NC area over the last 12 years or so. I had pretty good success through these purchases. I've recently took a leap and purchased a condo in Glen Burnie, MD off of auction.com. This condo was purchased both sight unseen and occupied. I first contacted occupants and offered cash for keys. The occupants agreed but unfortunately on the date the transaction was supposed to happen, the occupants went ghost on me. I then went to the court house and filed a wrongful detainer. The judge granted a judgment for eviction in my favor and I then filed a writ or restitution. I recieved an eviction date scheduled with the Sheriff for the 12th of December. The Sheriff told me multiple times that I would need to have 15 people present at the eviction or he will just leave. Does any one have any experience with this being the case. 15 people seems a bit extra for 3 bedroom condo.
Any experiences or insight that you guys can provide will be greatly appreciated.
Regards,
Reggie

I definitely don't want to start this process over again. Thanks Russell for the confirmation! I'm now figuring out how to gather 15 people on a Thursday morning.
