Rental info
Hey everyone. There's potential I can get my hands on two single family houses in my hometown for next to nothing. My question is how can I look up rental prices and vacancy rates in that town or can I do that at all?
After all, even if they're free if there's no cash flow why look into it.

The first place I check for market rents is a google search. Just type in house for rent + zip code, and see what happens. Look at several different websites, and you'll begin to see a pattern. Also, check with the local HUD office--they often have a report which indicates fair market rents in the area. It's often quite accurate, in my experience.
