Slip and Fall
Need advice. I accepted a new tenant. I wouldn't have taken her, but her mom is a good tenant of ours, so we offered her the place. Inspection on the property was passed. 1 month later, the floor in the porch dipped 3-4 inches, (old house). There was no warning of this. The tenant claimed she fell and is sueing for damages. Muscle aches, possible bruising, went to the ED, no broken bones and wasn't admitted. She currently is paying under market rent as determined by HUD. What would you do?
