Editing lease for renwal term

Hello,

I am a dentist landlord and have 1 tenant downstairs whose current lease is expiring on 10/31. I have a digital copy of the current lease. Is it legal for me to simply edit it for a renewal with the tenant without hiring an attorney or realtor to make it official?

Anything to be aware of?
