Renewing Tenant lease question

I have a question I am going to renew a new 12 month lease but I am going to raise rent.  Does anyone know what New York state law requires tenants to give how many day written notice that they are vacating before the end of their lease?     One tenant has been living in the apartment for over 4 years and the other tenants have been living their for 1 year.
