Would you rent to a former landlord?

I've had a few showings with people who claim to have been landlords. I guess in this economy it's not that unusual. However, since I've been a landlord I've seen firsthand how tenants can manipulate the system and become a nightmare. I don't think the general public realizes that tenants have more rights than landlords, but former landlords understand this! I just had one apply who told me all the things I was doing wrong. Rejected!

Have you ever rented to a former landlord?
