Running a Small Business Out Of My Apartment

Steve Unger
Posted

Hi All,

I want to run a small business out of my apartment.  I am having difficulty finding if it is possible and legal for me to do so.  My building falls under zone CMX-2 section 14-533 of the code. The space has three rentable rooms with a large common space. I would like to use one room for my business. This would be less than 25% of the full apartment.  I would live in another room of the suite.  I plan to run a lower budget and small recording studio that I would rent hourly time out for.  I'd love to know if this is possible.

Thank you!
