The crux of it for those who don't want to read the article: the guy's paying $450 a month in a rent control unit in NYC for 20+ years, while market rate around him is $3k/month. He's complaining that the landlord won't fix anything and is harassing him to get him to move. I wonder with what money he think they're going to be able to keep up his building?
