Tenant screening question

Mike Rasburry
Posted

So my wife and I bought a beautiful 3600 sq. Ft home with the original intent of living there, but due to some work uncertainty we have decided to rent it instead. I’ve found a tenant, and he meets the 3x monthly rent income requirement. He visited the house twice, but he’s married with 2 kids and his wife is stay at home. The two times he visited though, both times he came with his dad and not his wife. He said he showed his wife the house via FaceTime and she’s happy with it. Does this sound suspicious like he’s hiding anything? I mean would you rent a 3600 sq ft house without your wife seeing it first? My wife Would kill me if I did that…. I dunno I don’t do rentals so I’m not experienced with this but please let me know your thoughts.
