Applicant has a "Withheld Adjudication" criminal background

Any feedback is welcome. I got a call from a woman who says she and her boyfriend are having a very difficult time finding a rental property because when he was 19 (in 2001) he had a domestic violence conviction, which she said is a "withheld adjudication".

I would not normally consider anyone with a criminal history, and when I contacted the condo association for my property (they also do a background check and would have to approve the tenants), they said this issue from 2001 is not a concern for them.

I haven't seen their application yet, as I'm not sure if I should even let them view the property. The girlfriend assures me they have good jobs, finances, and credit. The boyfriend supposedly works at a large casino/hotel in the area, so I'm thinking the issue didn't prevent him from getting that job, if it's legitimate.

Thoughts? My husband and I aren't desperate for tenants, the property won't even be ready for at least 2 more weeks. We're just considering that a couple who has limited rental options might actually be on very good behavior as tenants.
