Housing for Traveling Nurses
Hi guys,
I just listed one of my properties on Furnished Finder this week. I heard about housing for traveling nurses on the podcast and thought I would go for it!
If you’ve done it yourself, how long did it take to get your first booking? It’s only been 4 days with no activity but I’ve already got those jitters.
Also, did you post to AirBNB too with 30 day minimum stay? I’m just thinking of other ways to market the property. I’m not used to having a property sit for a few days with no interested people. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Hey, fellow travel nurse of less than one year. Some quick pointers you may already know:
-buy close to the bigger/busy hospitals. If you can ask around or some now find out, the bigger hospitals pay more, but they may not have as much turnover as other smaller hospitals.
-fridge, bed, black out shutters, night time house rules, and Wi-Fi we’re a must for me.
-a little above market average. We can afford to the higher life, but we is “broke” to and trying to scrape by and make money like everybody else. So keep that in mind..
-I personally preferred driving around 5-20 minutes from the hospital to my room. I had a room that was 30 minutes away, just like at home, but it felt so much longer. My original commute was 5 minutes, and I cherished all 3 of them.
-a nice, up to date room is nice, but what is that mattress hitting on? And does the room(mates) stay quiet? These are important questions for any traveler.
let me know what you think!
