Bad at Promoting, seeking advice
I'm a house hack landlord (or maybe just an aspiring landlord since my rental unit is empty?). My listing in Northern New Jersey has been up for almost 2 months now, but having a lot of trouble finding people who are actually interested in it. MLS, Zillow and the realtor's website has helped get some people in the door, but showings have been slow and only 1 applicant has gotten to the point of interview so far.
I have it up on Craigslist too, but does not seem like that is getting it much attention. I thought maybe going old school and making some flyers would help, but with covid restrictions and remote learning I'm not even sure where I can go to post them.
I am really much more interested in repairing, maintaining and managing the property, trying to sell other people on it is not really my skill set. I know its not the best time of year to be promoting, and I would rather have it empty longer than have the wrong tenant in there. Still, would really appreciate any advice.

@Kate McCarren Hey Kate. Multifamily Investor and agent here in NJ. I hope I don't come off as brash, but my first instinct is that the rent is either too high or the condition of the unit is of lesser standards to your competition. The rental market in NJ is still pretty hot (broadly speaking) so I would re-assess these. If this a remote location in north jersey I could be completely wrong though. Hope this helps.
