First Time Home Buyer- Little to No Experience
Good morning everyone! I just found this site and I'm really loving it. All of the information is a bit overwhelming but it's helpful. I have only a little knowledge about real estate that I have learned from real estate YouTubers and this site has helped a lot. I am not a young 20 something so I have been intimidated in participating in some of the seminars out there because I didn't want to seem stupid. No one in my family has ever owned a home ever so getting hands on knowledge has been an option. I'm not here to give excuses I just want help and guidance so that I can break the cycle and get me and my family to financial freedom.
I have been working with Lexington Law for a couple of months getting my credit together and it has gone up into the 700s so I applied for a FHA loan for a single family home. It is still in the process of review as we speak. My question is: "Should I try to purchase a Multi Family Home" first so I can jump start this? I am a bit older and don't have the time like some of the 20 somethings who are out there in the investment game. Please advise. Thanks!

@Allena Williams if I’m understanding you correctly...you should just need to get pre-approved. Then you go get a property under contract and then you go through underwriting with the bank.
If you’re doing it in a different order it may be time to find a new bank
