Record the milage and other cost

I am a part-time agent, full time employee not related to RE, and started drive around to check the houses, join the REIA, meet ups. Today's one house checking is 47 miles away with toll payments also.

Can I record those miles and other expenditure for tax deduction next year?

1) What is the best and convenience way to record the mileage? Do I need to keep picture and the dates for the house which I visited?

2) What is the best way to record the related receipt, such as buy some things for mails, copies etc.?

Thanks for sharing.

check out a free app called MileIQ.

You'll be surprised how much easier this is than you're thinking.
