Eviction Lawyer Recommendation

Matthew Wilp
Posted

Hello,

I am looking for a recommendation for an eviction lawyer for the southwest suburbs, within Cook County.  The specific case involves a tenant that is not under a lease or any formal agreement, and is not paying rent  (this is a family friend that is down on luck, I know taking in a person in like this not advisable...).  The person is not destroying property or doing anything illegal, but there is drama/stress involved, and without getting into personal details, I'd like to move forward with an eviction.  They have been living in the property for roughly 2 years.  I have given written notice that the person must leave the property within 2 months, and that 2 months will be elapsed on 10/24.  The person has indicated that they do not have anywhere to go.  I am fairly certain that the person has not attempted to make other living arrangements, and will just milk the situation as long as they are allowed to.

Thanks in advance!
