203K Loans… Contractors and lenders

Hello BP community,

I’m trying to find local contractors & lenders in the NYC area (specifically Brooklyn) who have successfully renovated/repaired properties through the 203K loan. 

Obviously, I’m looking for reliable, professional contractors & lenders.  I’ve contacted a few 203K loan consultants as well. However, only one of the consultants has recommended anyone. He recommended only one contractor which makes me hesitant. I prefer a list because that makes me feel like the 203K consultant isn’t bias or getting any financial incentives from the contractor. My logic may be flawed in some ways about this.

I'm also looking for some lenders who are well experienced and successful in the 203K loan area. I've looked at the "203K Endorsement Summary" on the HUD website to find a list of experienced 203K loan lenders. However, I'm looking to see which lenders who serve the NYC area are highly recommended by the BP community.

Any additional recommendations or information about the 203K loan process would be greatly appreciated.
