Off market housing/ foreclosure curiosity

Jacob Canto
Posted

Are there any Real Estate Agents, in the Southern California area, that specialize and/or have knowledge in the off-market housing market? I am looking for information regarding investing in houses going into foreclosure, and/or in pre-foreclosure.

@Jacob Canto -  Hi Jacob, my team specializes in the preforeclosure market.  You can use tools like Propstream to create preforeclosure lists.    However,  please note that when you are dealing with homeowners in preforeclosure, please remember that you are dealing with peoples lives -- many of them are distressed, depressed, anxious, fearful of losing it all and being houseless.

As a result, you want to be a responsible real estate investor,  not a predatory one,  please do your homework and educate yourself on resources  out there that can help distressed homeowners like the California Mortgage Relief Program.  https://camortgagerelief.org/.   We do our best to help homeowners avoid foreclosure by educating them on options (loan mods, relief programs, bankruptcy, forbearance, etc.). In fact, we have help hundreds of homeowners avoid foreclosure.  We leave them in a better place from where we found them.   We are hoping that other investors will do the same.

If saving their home from foreclosure isn't an option,  thats where you can explore other creative options. I have a few case studies to share if you would like some real world examples.   HTHS.
