Seeking barndominium lender for two projects west of Kansas City
Hi all-
I am in search of a lending partner for two barndominium projects located within 30 minutes west of MCI. Below are the specifics of each project:
Project 1: Primary Residence Barndominium
- Location: 30 minutes west of MCI
- Land: 30 acres
- Building Specs: 40x60x18 metal building, 6:12 pitch, 14" subfloor, 9' ceilings on the lower level
- Finished Square Feet: 2,500 (excluding garage)
- Details: This will become the primary residence for my family and me.
Project 2: Investment Rental Barndominium
- Location: Same as Project 1
- Land: 30 acres
- Building Specs: Identical to Project 1
- Finished Square Feet: 2,500 (excluding garage)
- Details: This barndominium will serve as a secondary residence and a long-term rental property.
For Project 1, we are considering a one-time close construction loan, while for Project 2, we are inclined towards a traditional 30-year mortgage. However, we are open to exploring other financing structures that may suit these projects better.
If you are a lender with experience in barndominium financing or can provide innovative lending solutions for unique properties, we'd like to connect. These projects are not just structures; they're part of a vision to create a sustainable and comfortable living space for my family and an opportunity to invest in the community with a valuable rental offering.
Thank you for considering our proposal.

@Garrett Marshall You are the 2nd person on biggerpockets that has mentioned Barndominium housing in the last month. I am a mortgage broker in California that can fund investor loans in most states. Do you allready own the 30 acres? I would like to search for a lender for you because I find these homes very interesting. I never heard of one until a month ago.
