No LLC Corporate and Franchise TAX States

My state did away with franchise tax a while ago, in 2013 no corporate tax for pass through income. Nice!

What gives is trying to keep more companies from going to these other states.

W2 wage will still be taxed.

What about your state, have you checked to see if they are in the competition?
