Need to start entity/LLC
My husband and I live in Oregon and are looking to start an entity in Texas - the lender we are working with lends to entity's only. They said we can go through their company and lawyers and it'll be around $800. I know we can get it cheaper like through legal zoom or what not, however he did warn us that sometimes going that route they do miss a lot of other paperwork they need and he specifically said an operating agreement.
I'm looking for a real estate attorney in Texas that can help us with starting an LLC and draft up an Operating agreement, hoping it'll be a smaller dent in our pocket than what the lending company is offering. Would it be cheaper to find an attorney on our own or about the same price?

@Ronald Rohde and @jerel Ehlert are two Texas attorneys who frequently post here and can probably keep you on the right path. Lots of do it yourselfers here, but probably no matter what you are trying to accomplish with the entity, you need more than DIY in my opinion. For example you may want to discuss series LLC with them.
