Finding the right CPA

Hey BP members, I am currently looking for a new CPA who specializes in working with real estate investors and am wondering what lessons learned you all may have when it comes to finding the right fit. Are there any questions you find particularly beneficial when interviewing the potential CPA and are you looking for a number years experience (my current rule of thumb is 10 years+)? I also in the past have always personally met with accounts I've used since they were local; is it worth branching out to have a broader pool of candidates?

Thanks in advance!
