Business license vs contractor license
I’ve been in contact with a handyman who I’ve come to trust does good work, and we really click. I asked for his license information, and he sent a business license. I tried to look up his contractors license, but looks he doesn’t have one.
He has an LLC which is insured, and the business license is with the county for his LLC.
Does this seem reasonable enough to cover me from a liability point of view? I’ve heard horror stories of folks using “unlicensed” contractors, but I’m all turned around whether that means business licensed or contractor licensed.
Hope my question makes sense! Thanks!
