Hold My Hand Through Tax Season

Happy Monday y'all, Its that time of year again: tax season. I currently use Eco-Tax to handle all of my taxes. I find my self getting stressed out using them, mainly because I feel like they are more complicated and much less user friendly than others I have used in the past; Turbo Tax, HR Block etc. The latter had very user friendly interfaces, answer guided questions which led to more specific questions. IMO eco tax sends you the documents that will be reported, fill out to the best of your ability to understand them, and then their reps double check what you submitted, and you hope that you filled them out correctly. Now don't get me wrong, they are very knowledgeable people and their help is great, but are their more proactive local services out there? Albeit, this is my second (might as well be first) experience using something other than an automated "yes, no, fill in the blank" tax service. Are there local CPA/Financial advisors who you can take all of your tax documents, income, expense sheets etc. and they guide you or do the work for you? I get that I need to understand how filing my REI taxes work, but dang... $1,000 a year for someone to double check MY uneducated work seems a bit steep to me...
