Seeking tax accountant to advise non-citizen and non-resident.
Hello,
I am looking for a tax accountant that has experience in advising foreign clients (i.e. non-citizens who will be non-residents for tax purposes (>180 days outside of the US)). I'm looking at investing in a couple of flips either by acting as a lender or an equity partner. Separately, I'm also looking at purchasing rental property and acting as a landlord and finally, acting in partnership with a general contract to rehabilitate and sell properties. Most of this should be fairly basic advice but I am well aware that there are certain complications from being a non-tax resident and I am very keen to ensure that I structure investments in a tax advantaged manner.
Look forward to hearing from you and many thanks in advance.
EDIT: I should specify that the states I am currently looking at are CA, IL, MI, MO and NC.
Abe
