Starting investing in Real-Estate with a working visa
I am working with 2 other partners. We just opened our LLC. 1 of us is a US citizen, while the other 2 are international (H1B visa and OPT).
We recently found out that it is illegal for people with our visas to work for a company other than the one that sponsored the visa (that includes working your own company).
We are currently looking for legal advise as to how to operate legally (real estate is nice, but not being deported is nicer) and get the best tax benefits (deductions, tax breaks, etc.)
We are ready to pay lawyers, but want to be paying for the right kind of advice.
Has anyone been in this situation, or would know who we should contact to get the best legal advice?
