LLC Compliance in Arizona

Hello RE world,

I am in need of some guidance when it comes to compliance/forms/legality in Arizona. This is pertaining to a property management operation in Arizona and we need to know what kind of paperwork needs to be filled out on a yearly/monthly/one-time basis. Any websites, governing bodies or other feedback is more than welcome.

Thanks all and keep on changing lives one property at a time!

Cheers,

Damir

@Damir Kamber, although I am a CPA out of California I have clients with lots of property in Arizona.  Californians picked up a lot of Arizona property during the bust.

I'm assuming this LLC will be wholly-owned by you, making it a single-member LLC.

To get started, you file  with the Arizona Corporations Division.  There's a $50 fee.  You'll need to appoint a statutory agent.  There are companies for this.  You also have to publish your articles of organization in the county where your LLC will do business. Again, there are companies that perform this service for a nominal fee.

There are no annual filing requirements for single-member LLCs in Arizona.

If your LLC has more members than just yourself, then you need to get an EIN and also file Arizona Form 165 with the Arizona Department of Revenue annually.

Hope this helps.
