    @Gene Battle

    Check with your accountant for a recommendation or ask for recommendations from your local real estate investors association.

    Also, make sure your accountant knows how to add the cost seg to your tax return. If they don't, it might be time for a new accountant.

    I have used Cost Segregation Authority many times for my clients with great results.

    Good luck.

     recostseg.com are great and tech-focused. Full disclosure they are our firm's referral partner, but more than likely  they can save you money and are cheaper then alternative companies

    First, have a conversation with an accounting firm to see if a cost segregation study will be beneficial to you.

    You don't want to spend money on something where you won't get a benefit from.

    Yes this should be the first thing you do.  You want the services of a reputable cost seg firm. Visit www.ascsp.org to locate a firm near you. Hiring a certified cost segregation specialist can provide additional insight to your situation.

    @Gene Battle The majority of reputable Cost Seg companies do studies nationwide. Depending on the nature of your property and the particular Cost Seg provider's MO, there may or may not be an actual site visit.
