Can't Find The Owner (Behind an LLC) of adjacent property
Hello!
I am a real estate person in Brooklyn, NY. My husband and I just bought a beautiful brownstone, and the adjacent property, the identical to our home is falling into disrepair. I have spoken to the city, I have reviewed Acris, and the taxes are being paid by an LLC. Does anyone have any ideas for how I can get int touch with these people (behind the LLC?)? I can't find any way to locate/communicate with them...
Any help/ideas/suggestions would be greatly appreciated. We would love to invest in and improve in the proerty next door! We just don't know how to buy it!
Your county is usually willing to share the address where property tax invoices are being sent. Simply google your county assessors website.
Yes- but in NY, the real estate llc's are all sent to post boxes. It's a good idea. I think the tax information angle is definitely a good one. Thanks!
Hey @Victoria Price - congrats on your new purchase!
There are a few softwares out there that real estate investors use for marketing purposes in order to track down owner information. Shoot me a DM and I'm happy to run a quick query for you, happy to help out a fellow agent.

Good morning @Victoria Price & congratulations on closing on your Brownstone!
I'd recommend checking out geo data and accurate append... 2 platforms that may be useful here.
This is a numbers game so I'd suggest targeting as many similar brownstones as possible. Build relationships and add value to property owners and when the time comes, they'll consider you before selling.

You know there is a reason they try to hide their ownership, right?
Try to find the attorney who did the filing, and get in touch with him/her.

You could also try your Secretary of State web page. In Alabama I can do an entity search. Type in the name of the LLC and it should give you some extra info pertaining to the owner.

Thanks! That is a next step! Or a simultaneous project. It's good advice though!

Hi Bruce-
There is no public record of them but I was able to find some people on White pages. You seem to have some good insight. Would love ot chat sometime!

I've used that resource quite often in my investigative job. Best of luck!
