Hi everyone! I am a newbie in real estate and have decide to invest in my first property later this year. I am looking to house hack a multi family property in Utah but I am part of DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals).

I have been reading a lot of different financing options for a FHA loan and I see you need to have citizenship to be approved. Does anyone have any advice on this or know of any loans I would be be approved for?

Thank you for all the help.

Hi Tomas!

I am on the same boat you are! From the research I have done, you do in fact need to have permanent residency or citizenship to qualify for an FHA loan, but I have scheduled a call tomorrow with a lender who may be able to facilitate loans for DACA recipients. I'd be happy to put you in touch with them if the call goes well.

Also, listen to BiggerPockets Podcast Episode 352. The podcast is about a DREAMER who now owns 18 doors - truly inspirational.
