Any ideas or information finding funding for a development

Anthony French
Posted

I’m relatively new to real estate development, having completed only one fix-and-flip project. However, I am passionate about creating a micro home neighborhood in my area. Securing funding has been challenging, particularly because my business documents reflect low revenue from only one duplex, and I am currently between jobs.

I have identified a reasonably priced piece of land and have saved a small portion of the funds from my duplex sale to invest in this venture. I am seeking a partner with significant financial resources to help bring my vision to life.

I am open to any advice or ideas you might have.

Thank you,

I'm doing this exact thing right now- I've been pleasantly surprised by how many people in my network have resources, cash and interest in something like this.

You need to actively talk to people about what you are doing, ask them for referrals to others that might be interested.

You'll need a solid proforma and to build a team with expertise. Don't attempt to figure things out on your own or act as a GC or PM when you are using other people's money.
