Refinance closing question

Tina Williams
Posted

I'm new here and hope this is the correct place for this question. I am currently refinancing my primary residence the closing is set for next Wednesday. I was at work today when my co-worker said I had a call from a guy who sounded really angry. It was someone from the title company, I didn't get his name and co-worker forgot, and he reprimanded me for not being at the closing which he said was NOW. We talked a bit and figured out he was sent the wrong date and time, he apologized and we are all set for next week. Afterward, my co-worker said he was a real jerk and demanded to speak with me right away, when she stated that I was with a customer and asked if could she help him with anything he told her (and this is a quote from her) " no, she is suppose to be at a loan closing right now and I need to figure out if she is going to be here". I hadn't told this co-worker I was refinancing and don't feel it is her business or his place to tell her. I'm not sure if I should mention it at the closing next week or just let it go?
