affidavit of occupancy
This is the exact opposite situation of related queries. in short, mortgage broker states having me apply for loan as investment property on affidavit of occupancy, but i plan on residing there, will increase my chances of obtaining loan. reason being, ive only owned my construction business for 1 yr, banks require 2 years of returns and Im using my brother as a co-borrower just for securing financing. I have 25% down payment. After my second year of business, i will refi to remove my brother from deed/mortgage. my concern is, as stated on the affidavit, this is a federal crime. I assume this is really meant to control the opposite situation. any "real world" scenarios anyone can provide? or knowledgeable advice?
