DSCR Loan marked as "conventional"

Amy Konopka
Posted

Maybe I'm nitpicking, but I'm applying for a DSCR loan and this is the second broker that is marking it as "Conventional." They say its because there's no "DSCR" block (true) but why not mark it as "other"?? My concern is that they're trying the conventional route like another lender a few weeks ago who was trying to get my business. He thought "it could work" I told him my financials are a nightmare despite looking good on paper (self employed, real estate, etc)

What do lenders mark these loans as?

@Amy Konopka...when I'm doing them they are marked as 'conventional' in my system, but all submission documents will deem DSCR - no income, no employment, no assets (if don't need) on application; all lender sub documents will be marked DSCR w/term option, etc...maybe your broker/lender doesn't know what they're doing. Plus in this environment with the right lender, a dscr loan is going to be easier than a fannie loan all day long. Just my humble $0.02 pm if need more info.
