Dilema - Agent for Beginner Investor

Hello Bigger Pockets family. I am new to the real estate world. I want to try to start right and I am looking to make my first property an investment property. I have a close friend that is a fairly new real estate agent (licensed within the last year) and he insists on me using him. I am worried he doesn’t have the experience or the same mindset as me. Should I be shopping for an agent that has more experience and maybe investment properties of their own? I think I know the answer here and probably need to prep myself for the tough conversation. Any advice is much appreciated!
