Is it safe to partner on a $500,000 deal? How to protect myself?

Finally going to pull the trigger and get into RE investing. Was looking at duplexes, but found something a little nicer, with better ROI. More expensive than I want to spend for a 1st deal. Looking to partner, but skeptical.

I’m worried, it will be more headache than it’s worth, by having a partner.

Finances, decisions etc.

Maybe I have trust issues. I suppose my question, how do you find that partner, and screen them? I’m thinking two people new to the game shouldn’t partner up...

would an experienced partner want to partner on a small deal like that?
