Will more stock investors invest in real estate?

This article posted on the Wall St. Journal site was interesting.

http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424127887324761004578282240778834074.html

It talks about people losing interest in stocks. It doesn't mention that these people are thinking of investing in real estate, but it seems to make sense.

It seems kind of ironic that stock investors are crying that they have lost so much since the financial meltdown , but during that same time it seems many real estate investors have been able to do very well as they bought undervalued properties that cashflowed better than ever or were able to take advantage of REO fixers to flip.

Of course the news is always pretty far behind even with the internet and those of us on this forum know that many people have been buying property with cash.

I wonder if we will soon see articles that say "people are now investing in real estate instead of the stock market...and they are getting better returns!"
