Springfield IL Landlord Association Meeting 3/12

Come to the Springfield, IL landlord meeting tomorrow! It’s held at Donnie B’s (by Target). Meet and greet starts at 5:30 and the meeting begins at 7. Below is copy of the email with meeting details, sent out by the communications officer.

SALA folks,Expand your knowledge and learn along with your SALA members. Meeting highlights will include: *Keynote speaker is Josh Langfelder, Sangamon County Recorder who will inform us of their processes, how to research potential properties, free fraud alerts and the Honors Program. The Recorders office collects various fees and how the fees effect landlords as we do multiply transactions. *CWLP representatives will inform us of the available rebates for landlords *Economic Development Director Val Yazell will speak a few minutes about the census. Under counted areas get underfunded. *SALA Partners who will be in attendance to answer individual questions include Jason Lesco, owner of Lesco Heating and Air conditioning (is there a rebate available from CWLP? Now may be the time to get a quote from Jason), Baily Family Insurance will be available to answer your insurance questions and Jason Shields with Shields Accounting Services LLC who is a landlord friendly accounting service will be available to assist with your tax questions and can file your taxes for you. Hope you can join your fellow SALA Members and SALA Partners at Donnie B's (3455 Freedom Drive) on Thursday, March 12th. Food and drinks are available for purchase with meet and greet starting at 5:30 PM and our keynote speaker Sangamon County Recorder Josh Langfelder will take the stage a little after 7:00 PM. As usual several Community Partners will be in attendance along with other service providers. Renewal forms will be available for those who keep forgetting to mail the form. Meeting updates will be provided as I receive them. Please invite a guest and come early and enjoy some good company and food.
