HI, i have a piece of land that currently has a 4 units builing on it. they are 4 units, 2/2.  it was built in 1950.. the land is under used... alot of space to the right and left of current builidng.  I would like to build a new building on it.. BUT i want to know what are the height restrictions.  I know it has to do with zoning department... To find out max height, units for my parcel, neighborhood, etc  who do i contact?   would I need to pay someone just to find out the basics? if so who, what type of professional?  do municipalities offer this information? specific department?

the property/land is in Miami Beach (not ocean or water facing) about 2 miles west of Collins Ave, 33141. and part of miami beach

anyone direction would be appreciated.  thanks alot

Hey, @Jonathon Rios yes exactly to find out you just have to go to the city records, in your case-specific would be miamidade.gov and then go to Public Records. Once you are there you can search your property address and it will tell you the Primary Zoning and Primary Land Use(these two will tell you what you can build in the land) plus a lot more of information very useful and is totally free.

Now in order to actually build something in there, you will have to hire professionals to do so.

Hope that this helps.
