good or bad idea-Newburgh,NY
Hi,
We are still researching ideas where to purchase our first property with the money we have available now for our first..
A real estate agent has sent me properties in Newburgh, NY. The prices seem right for us since we are just starting out, but, I've read mixed reviews about the city in general. Afraid to get involved with bad neighborhoods and even worse bad tenants..
is it as bad as it sounds?
the thread on here is from a few years ago, I wonder if anything has since changed..

@Chaya N. I never invest in an area without checking it out, I would highly recommend it. I’m local to Newburgh and have spent quite a bit of time working in the city. It’s crackheads, gang members and rich people from NYC. There is a ton of renovation going on, but I would say it’s probably only 10% of the city. I know a good tropical juice spot and there is also a good hotdog place a few blocks away. You always get the juice before the hot dogs though, it’s a rule.
