I am not sure if this is the right area for this but hopefully it is. I have a partner I work with, we both work for Re/Max. While I like Re/Max and all it has to offer, it is missing something. I want to start a company similar to a buyowner but a little different. We would like to start an Al A Carte type business. Basic services would include putting the property in the MLS, setting up everything with closing companies. Additional items would be lock boox rentals, premier listings on Realtor.com. We have been discussing the idea of contract review. Our attorney said not to due to liability issues, as we do not wish to represent the buyer. Merely check the validity of the contract, I am amzed how many realtors do not write a legally binding contract muchless someone who has never filled one out. We would also offer full service brokerage options. We know assist-2-sell does somethign simlar for $2499(in our area) if your home is under $200K. And there are some MLS brokers that only put it in the MLS for $500. We were thinking around $750 for the basic service and a percentage yet to be determined for the full service side. Just curious as to your thoughts...
