Bathfitters or Similar Shower Rehad

HI All,

I was getting a quote from a contractor and he suggested instead of redoing the wonderboard and retiling my shower, that I try Bathfitters. The tub is also super worn out too. I'm in the Westchester area: Rye NY and have a one bedroom unit. I have heard of them but have never seen them in action. Has anyone used a shower/tub liner company like this before? I hear great things but I want some honest takes on it. Also, there are a lot of other companies that pop up that claim to do the same thing. I would gladly take any references if you have any! Thanks!

Kevin,

Rye, NY

@Kevin Dee

I've never used bathfitters, but what I do is buy a 3 piece bath tub wall set by Delta sold at home depot. I feel like bathfitters may be just a band aid. It goes over existing. What happens if you have a leak do you have to rip it back out? The one I buy is the Delta curve looks nice, you don't replace wonderboard or tiles, you rip it out and it gets screwed on the studs. The combo with the bathtub is about $500 + your plumbing fixtures, etc... Looks great.
